DON'T TRUST FISH by Neil Sharpson, illustrated by Dan Santat (one of my FAVORITE illustrators) is the MOST HILARIOUS picture book I have read in MONTHS!! "Fish. They're in your homes. They're in our water. But what do we really know about them? Don't. Trust. Fish." My 15 year old was laughing their butt off. This hits every funny bone ever. Fish are tricksy! They go to school, but what do they do in school? Some lay eggs, some don't. Why? "Some (fish) eat poor innocent crabs who are just trying to have a nice time in the sea. Don't trust fish." Dan Santat was pulling out some Adam Rex vibes with the illos too. The running gags that are illustrated (not implied in the text) are wicked. This is going to be my next pb purchase for sure:)
